Home Confinement

I don’t mind being on home confinement. I am an indoor cat. But it occurred to me that some humans might have a problem with it.

Some people live in unhealthy situations. Sometimes parents right this minute are drunk, high, or losing a battle with mental illness. Some parents scream and hit children. I’m worried about these kids right now.

If you are stuck at home in a bad situation, the first thing you need to do is ask yourself:

Is this dangerous, or just unpleasant?

Be honest with yourself, but sometimes it’s hard to tell. Sometimes you need to talk to a friend, or a teacher. (You can still email most teachers.)

If you feel like hurting yourself and need someone to talk to, you can text or call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.

Since I am a cat and not a trained professional, I got some information from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This is what they said:
